She once brought national and international recognition to a client – simply by identifying what they had accomplished. After more than 25 years in the communication field, Jill Oxendine knows better than anyone how words mixed with strategy can wield power. A graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, she met Jane Hillhouse while doing work for the International Storytelling Center (Jonesborough, Tennessee), and they have since collaborated on numerous projects. A former Kingsport Times News reporter and one-time editor of Storytelling Magazine, Jill has also been a free-lance writer, the managing editor for a major reference work (Encyclopedia of Appalachia) and senior project manager for a public relations firm.
