Effectively Communicating Impact
Thousands of residents in the Southwest Virginia region are unable to meet their basic needs, and most are either uninsured or underinsured. That’s why the Health Wagon, a nonprofit organization based in Wise, Va., exists—to provide their neighbors in need with medical, vision, and dental care via mobile and stationary clinics, at absolutely no cost. The organization is able to offer this crucial service in part because of the financial support of many incredibly generous donors.
The Ask
For their 2022 Gratitude Report, the Health Wagon wanted to share the heartwarming stories of people whose lives had been saved or greatly improved due to the care they received from the organization. By focusing on these patients’ stories, the Health Wagon is able to show donors exactly how their support helps them make a real impact for real people.
Our Approach
Because the Health Wagon is best known for its fleet of mobile clinics, we “rolled” with that to take readers on a journey through the eyes of the medical team. We created and photographed flat scenes to resemble a medical file that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the organization’s services and patients while expressing gratitude to their generous donors.
The Results
The final product showcases the Health Wagon, its services, and its level of care in a compelling way.
