Summit Leadership Capital Campaign

Summit Leadership

Summit Leadership isn’t your run-of-the-mill consultancy. They are a nonprofit that believes leaders can do more when connected with other leaders. That’s why Summit has set up an environment where those connections can take place. The Summit team coaches, consults, and supports over 200 business, nonprofit, and church leaders in the Tri-Cities (Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol TN/VA) and the Appalachian Highlands region.

The Ask

A Phased Approach to Raising Funds

Summit’s 40,000-square-foot facility offers a space for leaders to gather and work. But the organization saw greater potential that could double or triple their impact. They envisioned spaces that could host everything from small meetings to large galas. To bring their vision into reality, they initiated a capital campaign. And that meant they needed flexible marketing materials to help spread the word.

Our Approach

Share Stories and Inspire Donors

We started by gathering information like their founding story and testimonials. With this content, we created a printed case for support, a giving card, and a fundraising page on their website. We gave careful consideration to how we designed the pieces so they could be updated based on early donor feedback. This would allow Summit to transition seamlessly between phases of the campaign. This package supported Summit as they met with donor prospects during the campaign’s quiet phase. The landing page makes it easy for potential donors to share Summit’s vision and need with others. It also allows for instant donations and a way to reach out after-hours.

The Results

Great Feedback with Room to Grow

Potential donors provided positive feedback during early meetings with Summit. And when they are ready to start the campaign’s public phase, Summit can turn on an “impact chart” on the fundraising page. This allows visitors to see the impact their gift makes toward the fundraising goal in real time. And the case for support has proven to be a useful tool — they’re already on their third printing!
